9-10 Oct 2018 - Science and Industry Museum, Manchester
Thanks to the support of our Conference sponsors STFC and NERC, we were delighted to offer two bursaries to support junior staff to take part in the 2018 ASDC National Conference.
The bursaries supported the participation of junior members of staff from Science Centres, Science Museums and Science Engagement Organisations within the ASDC membership. They were available to those who have been employed in the field of science engagement in any capacity for fewer than two years, and have never been to an ASDC National Conference before.
Through taking part in this leading National Conference we hope to inspire junior members of staff for the future, support them in learning about the huge variety of programmes and exhibitions across the UK and encourage networking with leaders and practitioners in the field of science engagement.
Application deadline: 11pm 25th September
Awarded bursaries includes:
Free Conference registration for both the 9th and 10th of October. This includes all refreshments during the day and lunch on the 10th.
Up to £150 for expenses including accommodation and travel.
Applicants must be junior staff who can demonstrate a passion for engaging people of all ages and backgrounds with science, aspire to a career in this field and are keen to learn more.
The bursaries are available only to those who have been employed in the field of science engagement in any capacity for fewer than two years, and who haven't attended an ASDC National Conference before.
Applications will be accepted from staff in ASDC member organisations only.
We also invite you to join us for the Gala Dinner on Tuesday 9th October, although this will be at the members price of £39. This may included in your expenses claim if you wish to do so.
Successful bursary applicants will be announced as soon as possible after the application deadline (11pm 25th September).
