Westminster Hall, Thursday 15 May 2008, 2.30pm - 4.50pm
A debate between MPs on the Innovation, Universities, Science and Skills Committee and members of the Government.
This debate was called by MPs to examine the Government’s progress and direction relating to science centres following the Select Committee Report in October and the Government's response to this in January.
Phil Willis, Chair of this Committee and other MPs were hugely supportive of the UK’s Science and Discovery Centres, complimenting many individual centres by name.
The Association for Science and Discovery Centres offers the transcript as a single word document to allow you to search easily for MPs and Ministers direct references to your specific centres and projects. Links to these can be found at the top of the page.
(Note: this transcript has yet to be corrected by MPs - eg Column 483WH should read 'We did not propose a scottish model.)
