Help us to champion the needs of Museum visitors and make our digital support of collections and galleries more accessible and engaging than ever.
The Digital Content Manager (Exhibitions) is responsible for producing the online and social content designed to inspire people to visit the Museum's temporary exhibitions.
The Digital Content Manager (Exhibitions) will also be responsible for developing concepts and content for the digital products in on-site exhibitions, working with the interpretation team from inception to delivery of the exhibition. The digital products in the galleries could include games, didactics and touchscreens.
The successful candidate will work closely with the interpretation team, digital product team and end users to plan, source, write, edit, commission and publish informational and editorial content online for exhibition visitors, using insights and expertise to optimise content and drive traffic, engagement and conversion.
The successful candidate will be a member of both the Content and Visit teams in the Digital Media and Marketing Department. The Natural History Museum employs a product management approach to facilitate the agile and iterative development of digital products. The Visit product team includes user experience designers, digital developers and a product manager, who are responsible for developing digital products.
The Digital Content Manager (Exhibitions) will guide the commissioning of digital products in close collaboration with the Museum's interpretation team and the Visit product team. Digital product development is managed both in house and via external suppliers.
The role requires excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills, significant experience of researching and developing content for digital products in physical spaces and on digital platforms and an excellent command of the English language.
The successful candidate will be a member of both the Content and Visit product teams within the Digital Media and Marketing Department.
