About us
Kielder Observatory is a science outreach charity based in Northumberland, within Europe's largest Dark Sky Park. Our work takes us far beyond the observatory, into schools, hospitals, prisons, community spaces and venues across the UK and beyond.
About you
We're looking for a passionate presenter.
Someone who loves astronomy, enjoys connecting with people and can make the wonders of the universe accessible, engaging and entertaining.
Formal qualifications aren't essential. Your enthusiasm, subject knowledge and ability to communicate with a wide range of audiences matter more to us than the letters after your name.
Our philosophy is education by stealth. We believe that memorable, entertaining experiences can be powerful opportunities for learning.
We're particularly interested in people who bring different perspectives, experiences and creative approaches to science communication.
