Campaign Manager, First Light, Royal Museums Greenwich

First Light is an £85M project to deliver an ambitious schedule of much needed repair to the unique built heritage, vital capital improvements to the site plus an embedded programme of activities to build the nation’s science capital. A focus on physical, cultural, intellectual and financial access will ensure that everyone can enjoy, and benefit from, all the Observatory has to offer.

Reporting to the Senior Manager: Development Business Operations, the Campaign Manager, First Light will deliver vital fundraising activity in support of this capital campaign - working with colleagues to maximise fundraising opportunities, engage supporters and ensure the successful delivery of campaign events, communications and donor engagement activity.

Key responsibilities include to lead delivery of the First Light fundraising campaign to agreed objectives and timescales through the creation of fundraising materials and webpages and the delivery of a successful public fundraising campaign. The role will manage regular campaign communications for all stakeholders, co-lead on the organisation and delivery of a gala fundraising dinner in 2027 and coordinate major donor meetings and events for the campaign. There is also the opportunity to travel through the management of a fundraising visit to the USA in 2027.
