The Natural History Museum is leading a consortium of UK natural science collections in partnership with the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) and UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), who are developing a national infrastructure to support the digitisation and use of the UK’s natural science collections to support critical research.
As Grant Administrator, you will work with the NHM’s post-award team in the Research Coordination Office to support the team in successful delivery of this exciting new programme. Responsibilities will focus on effectively administering the museum’s programme finances across multiple projects, including budget transactions, monitoring and control, supporting with recruitment of project staff, and operational support to the project team, including efficiently resolving any funder related queries that arise.
You will be a key contact for budget-related queries and financial reporting, and ensure the project’s financial records are up to date and audit-ready.
The role will provide experience for the post holder to work on digitisation-focused projects at the Museum and support the academic community with the delivery of its Science Plan. This role is currently a 3-year contract position in the first instance with the potential to extend based on programme development.
