The Head of Education Outreach is part of a core group within the Education and Engagement team and will specifically oversee the current outreach education programme of Science Oxford, leading a team of seven people. This programme includes extensive delivery in primary schools across Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire and the provision of regular events and clubs for family audiences and teenagers. It also covers the delivery of our flagship STEM World of Work programme for secondary schools, which links young people with local STEM employers and aims to develop skills and raise careers awareness. They will lead the evaluation and development of the outreach programme and will take overall responsibility for publicity and communication of all the Trust’s education programmes to teachers, schools and STEM employers. They will play a key role in income generation, which includes revenue directly from schools for pupil sessions and teacher training, as well as highlighting opportunities for commercial sponsorship and securing external grant funding for innovative education projects that meet the aims of The Oxford Trust.
