Science Engagement Manager, International Centre for Life

We’re looking for a Science Engagement Manager to lead and support the delivery of high quality visitor engagement across our science centre.

You’ll coach and support our Explainers, who are a key part of the visitor experience team to deliver confident, welcoming and inclusive face to face engagement, working closely with Duty Managers to ensure a consistently great visitor experience.

You’ll collaborate with colleagues to understand visitor feedback, help shape science engagement ideas, and line manage the Lead Maker and Science Engagement Laboratory Technician. This role will require weekend working and some evening work.

You’ll bring experience of facilitating and coaching teams, delivering science related content for different audiences, and working in a busy visitor facing environment. A genuine interest in STEM, strong interpersonal skills, and a flexible approach to work are essential. A degree (or equivalent) in a science or relevant subject is desirable.
