Security Officer, Royal Museums Greenwich

The Security Officer’s role is to ensure effective security cover across the Museum sites and outstations to safeguard the Museum’s buildings, Cutty Sark, the collections, staff, and members of the public visiting the sites. Security Officers also provide important customer service duties and ensure that the Health and Safety Policy is followed.

Key responsibilities include efficient monitoring of and responding to intruder alarms and CCTV; responding effectively to emergency situations and supporting disaster and evacuation plans; and locking grounds and buildings as required. Further responsibilities include managing car park access and issuing keys, as well as providing site security patrols and static stewarding.
