ASDC celebrates commitment and welcomes new perspectives

On the 16th September 2026 we held our Annual General Meeting, marking an important moment for ASDC as we said thank you to three trustees stepping down from the Board, welcomed three trustees continuing their work with us and welcomed a new trustee to the team.

Thank you to our departing trustees

We’d like to extend our warmest thanks to Bipon Bhakri, Bridget Holligan and Gareth McTiffin, who have each made many valuable contributions to ASDC during their time as trustees. With an extra special thank you to Bridget who has been on the ASDC board of trustees for nine years!

Their expertise, commitment and support have helped shape ASDC’s work and strengthen our role as a collective voice for the science and discovery sector. We’re hugely grateful for everything they have brought to the organisation and wish them all the very best for the future.

Welcoming our continuing trustees

We’re delighted that John Bull, Jo Quinton-Tulloch and Laurence Butler will continue as ASDC trustees. Their knowledge, experience and commitment to our members will continue to be an important part of ASDC’s work as we look ahead and build on the strength of our network.

A warm welcome to our new trustee

We’re also delighted to welcome Sue Wardle to the ASDC Board.

As CEO of Techniquest in Cardiff, Sue brings 20 years of science centre operational and strategic experience as well as her passion for inclusion and cross discipline connection.

Our trustees bring a huge range of experience and perspectives to ASDC, helping us to champion our members, connect the sector and build a stronger collective voice for science engagement across the UK.
