Campaigns

Contributing to ASDC campaigns

We run national campaigns to support the work of our members, to raise awareness of an issue or initiative, or lobbying.

What will this involve?

This will involve sharing data to be used as part of the campaign, e.g. for a Roundtable event, public letter, MP dialogue etc.

Do I have to take part?

No. Contributing data for the campaign narrative, key events and dialogue is entirely voluntary. Please feel free to ask questions before deciding whether or not to take part (contact details are provided below).

If you do agree to take part, you still may ask for any information you provide to be destroyed, without giving a reason, by advising us of this decision (contact details are provided below).

What happens to the information I provide?

We will use the data we gather to gain a better understanding of the issue or opportunity arising. We will use the information we gather to provide evidence to support the campaign.

We will only use your data for the purposes for which we collect it.

Who will have access to your data

Access to the data gathered for the purposes of the campaign will only be given to the ASDC campaign team (e.g. CEO, Head of Comms, freelance Data Processors bound by contractual agreement), as part of their work in carrying out the evaluation described above.

Data protection and security

Your personal data (e.g. contact details) or private organisation data will be held securely in a shared Teams folder that only the ASDC Campaign team can access on password protected devices. ASDC, charity no.1129312, provides services for its member centres and is the ‘Data Controller’ for this information. This means ASDC decides how to use it and is responsible for looking after it in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation and associated data protection legislation. The ASDC Privacy Policy is available here: ASDC privacy statement.
