Social media

Facebook

We use Facebook to post project news, opportunities in the sector and to market events either on our feed or by targeted adverts to audiences that may be interested in the science visitor attraction sector.

Facebook is part of our social media network and an important tool for disseminating relevant information to our sector and different online communities. We use our Facebook to celebrate the work of ASDC and our project partners, to market events, to share opportunities beneficial to the sector and to engage new supporters.

Through our Facebook, ASDC hosts several groups to help project teams coordinate attendance at project events and/or to share best practice. We also host specialist groups where professionals can share innovative ideas in a specific field. Occasionally, ASDC may advertise special events on our groups if we feel they are relevant to group members. Such group members are carefully moderated by ASDC and attendance is not compulsory for our network members or project partners.

Twitter

As well as Facebook, a key tool in our social media network is Twitter. We host an account that similarly celebrates the work of ASDC and our project partners, shares important information about the sector and markets special events.

You may come across both accounts naturally through your own network or through a targeted advert, however we wish to remind all our users that Facebook and Twitter are commercial companies. Therefore, any information shared on our pages or in private messages may be used or sold by Facebook and/or Twitter for commercial purposes. We encourage our users to read Facebook’s data use policy https://www.facebook.com/full_data_use_policy and Twitter’s privacy policy. https://twitter.com/en/privacy
