Next Gen Earth Showcase
We The Curious
ASDC are inviting the Next Gen Earth cohort and their community and youth partners to an in-person networking event in the heart of Bristol.
This event will bring everyone together to reflect on the nine projects delivered across science centres and museums, sharing how each team:
- Co-created youth-led projects that connected young people with environmental science
- Amplified youth voice, ensuring young people shaped activities and decisions
- Designed inclusive and engaging science experiences for diverse communities
- Reflected and learned from challenges
Together, we’ll explore key questions such as:
- What barriers to environmental science emerged through this work?
- What legacy has the project left for your chosen groups and your organisation?
- What were the biggest learnings, challenges, and surprises along the way?
The event will be held at the historic SS Great Britain, one of Bristol’s most iconic landmarks and visitor attractions. The venue offers a beautiful event space right next to the ship, and there will be time during the lunch break to explore this fun and fascinating piece of engineering.
The day will include a projects showcase, a guest speaker, buffet lunch and a visit to the local science centre We the Curious. A pre-event networking dinner is also included for those who arrive the night before (location to be confirmed).
A full programme will be shared in the coming weeks. For now, please book your spot and share with your partners so we can get together in March!
Please note the invitation can include two project team, one community partner and one researcher who has been involved in the project, per organisation.
ASDC will cover your expenses to attend the event, which includes: travel, accommodation, and subsistence. Please check our T&S policy below for more details on the rates we accept.
