Discussion Table: Discussion Table: Improving accessibility within informal science learning spaces
This discussion table will be covering the following questions:
- What’s the point of accessibility? Why bother?
- The small changes we make often have a big impact on our visitors. What small changes can be made and who will benefit as a result?
- What can we do to ensure that authentic lived voice is heard through our exhibits and exhibitions especially when it comes to accessibility?
Biography
Rachael is the Curiosity Officer (Widening Participation) at Winchester Science Centre. She works across the organisation to ensure that everything we do is accessible to all. She is also passionate about engaging community groups that do not visit the science centre. Rachael works with underserved groups local to the centre to inspire and raise their STEM aspirations.
